June 1966

I look back on the month of June, for most in Recon, June should have been a happy time, schools getting out, cars, girls, college, and a chance to live and have a bright future. Some gave up all this, to do something they thought was right, others went because their country asked them to go, some asked for answers to why we were there, the fact is they went and in doing so gave their lives. If you ever happen to visit the Wall, take sometime and say Hi, thank them for their sacrifice. Reflect on what they could have been, if they had lived. Say a prayer for their loved ones and tell them its ok, you won't be forgotten. My Heart Was Touched Poem
