George Robinson

George Robinson
Garden City NY

Robbie survived the Battle at Loc Ninh , was wounded several times. Robbie became a School Teacher in New York City.
I was one of the men that carried the ammo for his machine gun, We were down near Vung Tau on an operation and it was hot ,I was teasing him, saying that I was glad that ,I was not humping the gun. Robbie walks off and comes back about 20 min later and hands me the Machine Gun, He’s got a smile and says here ,it's about time you learned to hump this gun.

The morning of June 11th Robbie came up to me and said " I have a feeling this is like the Dawn Patrol and I don't think were coming back"

Lyford TX

Glen died at the Battle of the Loc Ninh Plantation June 11th 1966- Panel 08E -Row 037

I remember the night up near Dau Tang, when Glen and I were sleeping out side our fox hole. The rain had been coming down for hours, the VC started to send mortars in on us, we both jump up and run to our fox hole. As I am flying threw the air I hear Glen yell" wait" to late, I land head first in a pool of mud. Then I hear this laughing, I look up and see Glen sitting on his helmet. I yell to him to get in the fox hole he says "no way, you don't know whatis swimming in that hole".
